E3 2014: Brave the Depths of Dark Souls II’s Sunken King DLC if You Dare

Switching gears from a game that looks a lot like Dark Souls to a game that actually is Dark Souls, here we bring you a closer look at the upcoming Lost Crowns DLC trilogy for Dark Souls II.

Below you’ll find two short gameplay clips and screenshots highlighting the new dungeon and creatures found in the first add-on chapter, The Crown of the Sunken King, along with a video interview in which From Software producer Atsuo Yoshimura speaks more broadly about the trilogy with Namco Bandai’s community manager. Of particular note is the revelation that each add-on will have a difficult route to discover, and by meeting a certain requirement a player who has purchased the DLC will be able to summon in other players who don’t own the DLC. That should be a pretty cool way to give friends sort of a trial run before deciding whether or not to buy in themselves.
