E3 2014: Deep Down Rises Up in New Gameplay Trailer

Capping off a day in which we took a look at the first DLC chapter for Dark Souls II, the PS4 Demon’s Souls spiritual successor Bloodborne, and the heavily Souls influenced Lords of the Fallen, it’s only fitting that we share with you the E3 2014 gameplay trailer for Deep Down.

In case you forgot, Deep Down is Capcom Online Games’ Souls-esque stab at the tough-as-nails action-RPG genre, a procedurally generated free-to-play dungeon crawler exclusively in development for PlayStation 4. Many things about the game remain shrouded in mystery (When’s it coming out? How will the F2P model work?), but at least there’s some new gameplay footage to dissect. My quick observations after watching a couple times: The graphics are gorgeous, the combat and creatures look intense, and the voice acting is lame. Two out of three ain’t bad.
