Leading into E3, the rumor wires were abuzz with speculation that Rockstar would announce an enhanced re-release of Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. That indeed happened tonight during Sony’s press briefing. Oh yeah, and they announced a PC version (with an exclusive video editor), too!

The remastered edition will feature general performance improvements as well as an array of graphical boosts, including increased draw distances, higher resolution textures, denser traffic, upgraded damage effects and weather systems, and all sorts of other little details to bring the open world of Los Santos to life in richer detail. Grand Theft Auto Online will also return with better performance, and current players will even have the option to transfer their progress over to the platform of choice.

Watch for GTA V on PC, PS4 and Xbox One this fall!
