Hideo Kojima follows up last year’s harrowing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain trailer with a new director’s cut trailer for E3 2014 (this is an extended version of what appeared last night during Sony’s press conference) that shows Snake’s further descent into darkness and the harsh brutality of war, Mike Oldfield’s “Nuclear” setting the perfect tone for the graphic themes on display.

Kojima Productions will be hosting 30-minute stage demonstrations of the game at E3, so keep your eyes peeled for additional Metal Gear Solid V gameplay footage and announcements throughout the week.
