Apparently, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, the upcoming role-playing game from the super team of R. A. Salvatore, Todd McFarlane, Ken Rolston and Curt Schilling, is going to be so epic, it needs not one but three limited editions.

The offerings open reasonably enough with the $80 Special Edition, which includes a parchment map of Amalur, a seven-piece die set for tabletop role-playing, a set of 40 Destiny Cards, the official soundtrack, and a piece of bonus DLC. From there, things get crazy expensive and very limited.

The Collector’s Edition costs a mighty $200 and contains everything from the Special Edition plus a 12.5” resin troll statue and a concept art lithograph signed by Ken Rolston. The next step up after that is the $275 Signature Edition, which comes with a custom sketch by Todd McFarlane on top of everything else. Oh, and the troll figure will have the added value of a signature from Todd McFarlane, R.A. Salvatore or Curt Schilling.

These Limited Editions are being offered in the US and Canada only and are available for pre-order in extremely limited supply. 2000 copies of the Special Edition have been produced, 700 units of the Collector’s Edition are available, and only 300 gamers with the disposable income to afford it will be able to score the Signature Edition. Any takers out there?
