Who wants more Sudoku, solitaire and poker to play on their PC and DS? Anyone? Nope, didn’t think so. That ain’t stopping EA from making more of ’em, though. In fact, EA Casual just signed up a deal to make a new line of casual games branded after the popular For Dummies instructional book series for those two platforms. Through EA’s downloadable game site Pogo, the PC gets Poker For Dummies, Solitaire For Dummies, Brain Training For Dummies, and Sudoku For Dummies. Poker is available now actually, with Solitaire coming in September, Brain Training in October, Sudoku in November, and even more to follow in 2009. Poker and Brain Training will also get boxed retail releases in October.
In November, DS gamers will get their chance to join the For Dummies fun with the release of Travel Games For Dummies, a three-game compilation of Solitaire, Sudoku and crossword puzzles. I guess it’s kinda neat that all these game’s offer tips and tutorials in the For Dummies style, but come on, enough is enough with these card and pen-and-paper games already.
I feel dumber just for reading this … 😀
It makes me think of the new iTunes App store – how many Sudoku and tip calculators do we *really* need?!?
