Ah, Elebits. It’s still among my top-five favorite Wii games to date. I’ve been hoping and praying for a sequel but wasn’t too sure if one would ever come along. I can rest easy now, though, as Konami has made my day by announcing Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero. The catch is that it’s not for the Wii, it’s for the DS. I would’ve preferred it on the Wii, so part of me is disappointed, but I’ll get over it. It’s a new Elebits game, that’s all I care about.
No screenshots were provided with the news, but from how it’s described the game doesn’t sound like it’ll be changing much in the move from console to portable. It’ll still be all about hunting down those pesky Elebits and using their powers to solve puzzles. Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support will also be included for four-player battles.
Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero is set to ship this fall. Be on the lookout for more next week during E3.
