Elmo Composes a Musical Monsterpiece on Nintendo DS and Wii

Warner Bros. aims to encourage parents to get their preschool children into music with its next Sesame Street video game, Elmo’s Musical Monsterpiece, shipping in June for Nintendo DS and Wii.

In Elmo’s Musical Monsterpiece, Sesame Street favorites Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Count von Count and The Honkers will use the power of song and dance to teach youngsters emotional expression and early math skills through interactive musical activities.

LA band Ozomatli brings a diverse range of musical styles to the game, including hip-hop, salsa, dancehall, cumbia, samba, funk, merengue, Jamaican ragga, and Indian raga, and a handy “Parent’s Page” feature will give parents the tools to customize profiles (up to three) and monitor play progress and curriculum goals.

Yep, I think kids will be tickled pink to make beautiful music with Elmo and his Sesame Street pals. Summertime edutainment, here we come!
