Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition was supposed to be coming out tomorrow. Sorry, classic role-players, but that ain’t happening any more.
Overwhelmed by feedback, suggestions and the continued work on translations and the addition of new bonus features not found in the original release, Overhaul Games has made the sad but necessary decision to push the Enhanced Edition back a couple months.
The delay puts the PC/Mac/iPad RPG remaster to a new date of November 30th, with release timing for Android devices still to be announced.
If you’ve pre-ordered the PC version already, this delay may actually be a blessing in disguise. According to Trent Oster, President of Overhaul Games, they are “working on something a little extra for you.” At the moment, pre-buyers already get an instant $2 discount, a forum badge, and pre-load access to have the game installed and ready to play as soon as launch arrives.
