Earlier this month, Sony confirmed plans for the release of an HD remastered edition of Killzone PS2 as part of a Killzone Trilogy Blu-ray collection also containing the more recent PS3 installments, Killzone 2 and Killzone 3, and all of their multiplayer DLC map packs. Now comes the expected confirmation that Killzone HD will indeed be available as a standalone digital download via PSN for $14.99.
Killzone HD won’t have the original’s online multiplayer and sadly Guerrilla Games won’t be adding optional PlayStation Move support. However, the game will rock 720p graphics locked in at 30fps, enhanced sound effects, a complete trophy list (including Platinum), adapted DualShock 3 controls and button layout in line with its two PS3 successors, and an offline multiplayer mode against AI bots.
Killzone HD and Killzone Trilogy are due to launch simultaneously on October 23rd, the complete retail box set priced at $39.99.
