Escape Dead Island for a Dead Island 2 Beta Invite

EscapeDeadIsland

What’s this? Another Dead Island game? Why of course, because you know Deep Silver won’t stop milking this zombie franchise until it stops making buku bucks.

Designed to bridge the gap between the original Dead Island and next-year’s Dead Island 2, Escape Dead Island is a single-player, story-driven third-person stealth mystery action game with a trippy comic book aesthetic. The game follows protagonist Cliff Calo as he heads to the Banoi archipelago‚Äôs quarantined island of Narapela to film a documentary with his friends in an attempt to expose the conspiratorial origins of the virus outbreak. Along the way he’ll have to battle with his own sanity every bit as much as the zombie horde infesting the island.

While Escape Dead Island is in development for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 for a fall 2014 launch, gamers who buy the game through GameStop will receive a guaranteed invite to the beta for Dead Island 2, which launches in 2015 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Escape Dead Island is being developed by Fatshark, the studio behind games like Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, Krater, Lead and Gold, War of the Roses and War of the Vikings.
