Everybody Votes For Wii

WiiWhen you turn on the Wii, it’s kind of strange to see so many blank channel boxes left waiting for new content and features to light up their empty little screens, but Nintendo has promised to fill these channels in as the Wii evolves. With Valentine’s Day spirit filling the air, Nintendo has unlocked one of the blank screens to add the Everybody Votes Channel to the Wii menu. On the Everybody Votes Channel, Wii owners hooked up to the Internet are asked to chime in on various topical polls, with up to six users from one household allowed to vote on each question using their individual Miis. New regional questions are scheduled to be posted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and global topics will be raised twice a month. Nintendo is also planning to take topic submissions from Wii owners for future poll questions, yippee!

OK, is it just me or is this completely pointless? A polling channel!? But oh well, it’s free so if you have fun answering poll questions I guess you’ll enjoy this. I just hope Nintendo has more exciting content than this to fill in all those blank channels in the future…
