Fallout 4 Collector’s Edition Comes With a Smartphone Enabled Pip-Boy

So we know the date. Fallout 4 launches on November 10th. We’re all set to enter the Wasteland. Not so fast!

First, you’ll need yourself a Pip-Boy like the one included with the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition. Along with a companion app and a compatible Android or iOS phone, the included wearable Pip-Boy will serve as a second screen experience to monitor your perks and stats straight from your wrist. Sure, it’s gimmicky as hell, but in the coolest possible way.

Of course, if you don’t want to fork over $119.99 to get the collector’s edition, which also comes with a pocket guide, poster, and metal capsule packaging, you will still be able to take advantage of the second screen functionality by using the companion app on your favorite smart device, only without the Pip-Boy casing. You’ll just need to duck tape your phone to your wrist and imagine it’s a real Pip-Boy.

Pre-orders for the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition have opened on Amazon.com. Better reserve yours fast. Bethesda says supply will be extremely limited, and I’m guessing these are going to get snatched up in a hurry. (Probably just to be scalped on eBay later.)
