Final Fantasy Explorers Discovers the Americas in Early 2016

Get ready to have a very happy New Year come 2016, Final Fantasy fans. Nintendo 3DS exclusive Final Fantasy Explorers has been slotted into a launch date of January 26, 2016 for North America.

Square Enix’s single-player and 4-player co-op action-RPG fuses Final Fantasy lore and nostalgia with the gameplay style and quest-based structure of Monster Hunter for what’s sure to be a romping good time. (Hopefully it’ll at least be better than the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series turned out to be.)

Playing as one of 20 different jobs (Knight, Black Mage, White Mage, Monk, etc.), you will enter dungeons and collect crystals while battling classic Final Fantasy creatures and eidolons. A feature known as Trance will also allow you to transform into iconic Final Fantasy heroes such as Cloud, Lightning, and Squall.
