Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Coming to PS3 and Vita this Year

Square Enix sure is on a mission to resurrect classics from the company’s PS2 catalog this year. Joining Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX on the 2013 release schedule is Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, a single-disc compilation of Final Fantasy X and its girl power sequel for PlayStation 3. Unlike the Kingdom Hearts remix, this one’s also coming to the PlayStation Vita, though on Sony’s portable it appears that the pair of HD remasters will be split up for individual releases rather than a bundle. If that is indeed the case, it also seems likely that they’ll be released via PSN only.

We’ll figure all that stuff out in due time. For now, hit the gallery for some lovely screenshots from the world of Spira, now in glorious HD. Swing back by on Monday as well for the unveiling of the official announcement trailer.
