So, Diablo III has been announced. Knowing that it’s FINALLY on the way is already exciting enough, but you know Blizzard, they aren’t just going to announce a game with a simple press release. Amongst the mass of unveil content at the game’s official website, these three videos are the main attraction for sure. First up is the debut CG trailer, followed by a lengthy (it’s nearly 20 minutes, so I really do mean lengthy!) narrated gameplay preview video, and then finally the trio caps off with a concept art slideshow trailer. Awesome stuff, you won’t want to miss a single second.

I have never been the biggest fan of the franchise – my wife bought Diablo 1 for me when it came out, and I played some and went back to FPS and basically abandoned the whole RPG genre. Since then I’m a full-on RPG nut, and occasionally like some action-RPG stuff like this, and will likely get into it when it arrives – but it is true what you said, Blizzard sure knows how to do a reveal!
Seriously, Blizzard goes big with their game unveils. I loved all the reveal-day media and info, but the week-long splash page thing, that shit drove me absolutely nuts. I couldn’t believe how so many major forums and game sites were basically creaming in their pants over the whole thing. Everyday it was like “OMG, look at this rune, what does it mean?” and on and on and on. I didn’t get the hoopla at all, exactly why I never posted a single thing about it until the final unveil was made. To me it was so obvious it was going to be Diablo III, what other game does Blizzard have to unveil?
But yeah, the game looks great. Really looking forward to it.
