Indie developer Spiders, a new studio formed by the creators of Silverfall and its Earth Awakening expansion, has unveiled its first game, a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi action-RPG for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 titled Mars. Starring two playable characters — an elite soldier with a dark past named Seth and an ambitious technomancer named Pandora — Mars is said to be a mix of RPG-like storytelling and character progression with the “sensation of power and rhythmic aerial battle” of a beat-’em-up.

Mars is still a ways off, currently scheduled for release in late 2010, but today Spiders did release some early WIP gameplay footage, screenshots and concept art, all of which is posted on the jump. Before browsing, keep in mind that the game is still very early in development.
