First Portal 2 DLC Adds Free Single & Multiplayer Content This Summer

In my review of Portal 2 last week, I talked about how the game lacks immediate replay value and would greatly benefit from DLC adding some form of a competitive challenge mode with leaderboards. Obviously Valve was already WAY ahead of me.

Today Valve has announced that the game’s first downloadable add-on will be available this summer for PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PS3, and it will be released completely free of charge. And who doesn’t love free DLC?

Portal 2 DLC #1 is still a mystery in terms of the specific quantity of content it will offer. However, Valve has confirmed that the freebie pack will come with new test chambers, a single and multiplayer Challenge Mode, leaderboards, and supposedly even more than that.

I’ll be back to let you know as soon as more details are announced!
