This coming weekend, iGames.org is holding a special event at 50 game centers across North America to celebrate the release of Echoes of Faydwer, the third expansion for Sony’s EverQuest II.
On the 25th, these select locations will be holding a one-day event where both new and old EverQuest players can play the new expansion free of charge. Gamers participating in this weekend’s event will receive free food and drinks, free t-shirts, and free copies of the expansion. As a special reward, those participating in this weekend’s premier will receive a special in-game weapon called the Greatstaff of the Sun Serpent.
Again, this event is completely free with pre-registration and seats available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you happen to miss the Echoes of Faydwer premier, you can still check out the expansion for free from now until December 10th as these participating game centers are offering a 7-day trial subscription along with one free hour of play at their establishment.
So once you’ve awakened from your turkey induced coma, take a drive over to your local iGames affiliated game center and join in all the MMO festivities.
I know no one here cares being such WoW fanatics, but the new EQII expansion is superb stuff. It’s one of the best expansions an MMO can get- it’s got new content for ALL levels (not just high level content like pretty much every other expansion provides), and the new additions only expand what is already the deepest MMO. Being a former addict of the original EQ, it’s also great to see so many of the classic zones brought back, and all of them have been designed extremely well- they have a sense of familiarity, yet are completely different from what they once were. The new Fae race is sweet too.
