GameStop To Offer Wii Rain Checks

If you haven’t been able to find a Wii in stores as of yet, I think it’s safe to say your chances of doing so this year are nil. But if you can wait, there is an option to at least secure one sooner rather than later. You see, Nintendo and GameStop have teamed up to offer Wii “rain checks.” Coming up on December 20th and 21st (this Thursday and Friday) exclusively at GameStop stores, consumers will be able to pay for a Wii in full and get a rain check certificate (while supplies last) guaranteeing them a console to pick up in January. So if you don’t have a Wii to give in physical form, stop by your local GameStop at the end of the week, nab a rain check and ensure that loved one of yours who’s expecting a Wii tucked under the Christmas tree this season at least has something to open.
