Gauntlet Reboot Pre-Orders Include Digital Comic, In-Game Bonus Gear

That modernized Gauntlet reboot from Arrowhead Game Studios we heard about a couple months back now has a launch date and a pre-order campaign.

Gauntlet will release September 3rd for $19.99 via various PC digital download platforms. A digital comic by DC Entertainment titled Gauntlet: Darkness Calls (pictured, top) will be provided to pre-order customers on launch day.

Additional pre-order items, including choice in-game loot for the Warrior class, will be made available through various retailer-exclusive offers. From Steam, you will receive the Azkog the Demon Slayer battle axe and Reaper’s Visage helmet. Green Man Gaming is offering Mordok‚Äôs Screaming Hammer. Amazon has the Giant’s Bane axe. And GameStop has the Juggernaut of Hakura hammer.

The Warner Bros. press release does not explain if these items are purely for visual customization or if they will offer unique combat bonuses, but below you can at least see what the different weapons look like.
