Gears of War Game Editor Tutorial

Of the new features that have been added to the upcoming PC version of Gears of War, the inclusion of the Unreal level editor should prove to be the most significant, especially once the mod community starts cranking out some really cool original maps to play on. In advance of the game’s release next Tuesday, Microsoft has just sent along a tutorial video in which Epic Games’ Lead Designer Jim Brown narrates a short walkthrough of the Unreal Editor’s basic functionality for building a map, from laying out level geometry to applying textures and lighting to creating particle systems to scripting encounters.
