Geometry Wars Goes Mobile Exclusively On Verizon

GWREM on MOTOKRZR.jpgVerizon Wireless and Sony BMG Music Entertainment have released word that Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved Mobile is now available exclusively on over 25 Verizon Wireless Get It Now-capable phones, including popular models like the enV by LG, MOTOKRZR K1m and Samsung SCH-a950. The game can be purchased and downloaded from the “Get Fun & Games” shopping aisle in the Get It Now virtual store at a $3.49 monthly access rate or an unlimited use purchase of $6.49.

Developed by Hardcore 3d Wireless in conjunction with Bizarre Creations, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved Mobile captures all of the fun and addictive shooter action of the hit Xbox Live Arcade original and packs in eight brand new gameplay modes, including Untouchable, Survivor, Monster, Trenches, Speed, Multiplier, Feline, and Bomber, complete with a leaderboard for players to compare scores.

“The controls are intuitive and the visual style is true to the Geometry Wars world,” said Martyn Chudley, managing director of Bizarre Creations. “The game has managed to capture the essence of the original game, whilst being tailor made for the strengths of the mobile platforms and their audience.”

A complete listing of the compatible handsets can be found at Verizon’s game page and additional info on the game itself is available at www.geometrywars.com.
