Last month, Sony delayed the November 2nd launch of Gran Turismo 5, but promised that the game would still make it out for the holidays. The Internet proceeded to explode with anger and skepticism.

But it’s OK, racing fans, you can relax now. The sky is no longer falling. Sony has confirmed a new release date for the long-in-the-making PS3 sim racer, and in the end the delay will only amount to a few weeks.

GT5‘s new North American launch date is officially set for November 24th, which puts the game out on store shelves just in time to entice Black Friday shoppers.
