Grand Theft Auto V PC, PS4 and Xbox One Launch Dates Confirmed

Huge news is just in from Rockstar today. Release dates for the enhanced versions of Grand Theft Auto V for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, previously announced back at E3, have been announced!

The open world sandbox of crime and debauchery will first be made available to PS4 and Xbox One console gamers on November 18th. Then, shortly after the dawn of the New Year, on January 27, 2015, PC gamers will finally get to visit Los Santos to see what the fuss is all about.

Take a look at the new trailer, “A Picket Fence and a Dog Named Skip,” captured from the PS4 version. The screenshot gallery located at the bottom of the page shows stills also taken from the PS4.

The game looks a whole lot sharper, doesn’t it? Well that’s because Rockstar has overhauled the game’s visual and technical performance to feature increased draw distances, higher resolution textures, more wildlife and a brand new foliage system, denser traffic, and more realistic effects for weather and damage modeling.

On top of the sexier look, the “definitive” edition of GTA 5 will contain new activities, vehicles and weapons, as well as more than 100 new radio station songs to jam to while cruising the open road and committing heinous acts of violence. Even Grand Theft Auto Online will benefit from a boosted player count to 30 players.

Returning players from PS3 or Xbox 360 can also look forward to some sweet loyalty rewards when upgrading to PS4 or Xbox One. As long as you have active Rockstar Games Social Club and PlayStation Network/Xbox Live accounts and previously played through at least the Prologue on a last-gen console, you will receive bonus content at release including “rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more.”

Last but not least, Rockstar is offering a bonus bankroll of $1,000,000 in-game cash, split evenly into stashes of $500K for GTA 5 story mode and $500K for GTA Online, to all pre-ordering customers. At this time Rockstar has not announced any deals or discounted pricing for players upgrading from the last-gen original.
