Ghosts of Ascalon, the first installment in NCsoft and ArenaNet’s Guild Wars novel series, is set to go on sale across North America and Europe on July 27th.
Written by veteran fantasy authors Matt Forbeck and Jeff Grubb (Grubb is also one of the lead designers and writers for Guild Wars 2 the game), Ghosts of Ascalon takes place one year prior to the events that will unfold in Guild Wars 2, bringing fans up to speed on what’s been happening in Tyria in the 250 years that have passed since the original Guild Wars. Man and charr are finally on the brink of peace, but first a heroic adventurer named Dougal Keane must lead a party into the ruined city of Ascalon to find and return a treasured charr relic lost during the Foefire. Finding out what happens next on Dougal’s quest will cost you $8.
