With Guitar Hero II launching tomorrow, at least one location is doing it up right for the game’s release. RedOctane is hosting an exclusive appearance -slash- autograph signing by guitarist Dave Navarro at the Best Buy located at Pico Boulevard and Sawtelle in West Los Angeles. With plenty of GHII kiosks for all to rock out on, at the stroke of midnight (cue guitar chord sound effect!), the game will go on sale to the masses. Popular West Coast radio station Indie 103.1 FM will be covering the event with special guest Billy Morrison, guitarist from The Cult, onsite to keep things rolling.
Keep on Rockin? Click away…If you can’t make the event, perhaps you’ve already pre-ordered the game from the
RedOctane online store and gotten the cool free T-Shirt or one of the other fine offers you’ve found there. Perhaps not, but I’m just sayin’… I don’t know about you, but walking into a crowded game shop these days can be a test of patience…
Anyway, it’s all good. Some of us VGBloggers know what we’ll be spending too much time doing once we get our hands on GHII, that’s for sure… Rock on, folks…
Whoopee, Dave Navarro. I don’t think I mind that this is taking place only in LA lol…
yeah, yeah… lol. you know you’d be there, ;^P
Seriously, that guy gets too much press. He’s not that good…
But whatever. All I want is the game. Too bad it was online enabled for some versus.
Damn it. I meant to say “too bad it wasn’t online-enabled for some versus action.
Am I the only one seriously considering calling off work tomorrow? Even though Meijer is on my store banned list, I’m thinking about heading over there tonight at midnight to pick the game up.
How is the launch going? Too bad they couldn’t get Slash to do the signing, especially since he’s in that one commercial where volkwagen is giving away first act guitars.
