Halo 3 Beta Now Available for Crackdown Owners

Gamers who purchased Crackdown in order to gain access to today’s launch of the Halo 3 multiplayer beta testing were dismayed today when they fired up the game eager with anticipation only to find that they couldn’t download the beta. As of a little after 7:00pm PDT, however, Microsoft released a software update that fixed the problem, so all you Crackdown owners can rest easy, the Halo 3 beta is now live.

To make up for this little boo boo,  Microsoft is extending the beta testing phase a few days, pushing the end date from June 6 to June 10. So a few hours of delay winds up netting beta testers a couple more days to feed their Halo addiction. It all works out in the end…
