I hold a personal grudge as Halo was built for Mac, then was planned for PC and just jacked when MS bought Bungie (which shows MS view of PC gaming in a single action). The Halo PC games – particularly the Vista-pusher Halo 2 – were mediocre ports of decidedly average games. I am glad millions love them, but they remain perhaps THE most undeservedly over-hyped franchise in gaming history.

I think it’ll turn out just fine. Some former Bungie staffers moved over to 343 Industries, and I believe 343 developed Reach’s latest map pack. So it should be in good hands.

After all these years, I think the series needs some fresh blood anyway.
