Halo 4 Crimson Map Pack Dated, Priced, Screenshotted, Trailered

Halo4_CrimsonMapPack

Halo 4‘s first War Games multiplayer map pack DLC, Crimson, is scheduled for launch on December 10th, priced at 800 MS Points. It’ll feature three new maps, including Harvest, Shatter, and Wreckage, along with 8 new achievements and a dedicated playlist.

Separately but available on the same day, a new mode called Extraction will also be added to Multiplayer Matchmaking. Extraction is a 5 vs. 5 objective-based match type in which two Spartan teams will face off in a battle to extract assets from different points on the map.

The Crimson Map Pack is but the first of three map packs to be released as part of the War Games Map Pass, with the other two packs, Majestic and Castle, set to release in February and April of next year, respectively. If you bought the Halo 4 Limited Edition, you’re all set with a map pass. Otherwise it’ll cost you 2,000 MS Points to buy standalone, which will still save you 400 MS Points compared to buying each map pack individually.

Now that all the details are taken care of, here are the first trailer and screenshots highlighting the new content in the Crimson Map Pack.
