Halo Wars Goes Gold, Demo Coming Feb. 5th, First Vid Doc Released

HaloWarsGold.jpg Microsoft and Ensemble Studios’ Xbox 360 RTS Halo Wars has gone gold today and is officially off to factory in preparation for the game’s global launch dates: Feb. 26 in Asia, Feb. 27 in Europe and March 3 in the Americas. News has also dropped that a playable single-player demo will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace on February 5th. The demo will feature beginner and advanced tutorials introducing the game’s “groundbreaking” control scheme, the first two missions in the single-player campaign, and the Chasms multiplayer map providing the chance to try out the Skirmish mode against AI opponents as either the UNSC led by Captain Cutter or the Covenant forces led by the Prophet of Regret.

Oh, and one last thing. The first episode in a behind-the-scenes video documentary series chronicling the development of Halo Wars has come out today. You can fire up your 360 and download it on Xbox Live or stay right here and watch it on the flip side.
