You’ve probably seen it on TV or in movie theaters by now, but here we have for your viewing pleasure the sexy trailer ad for Heavenly Sword, which has now officially hit retail for the PS3. Haven’t been able to get my eager little hands on the game yet, but having just finished up Ninja Gaiden Sigma I’ve got an open spot for another action/adventure epic to play on my PS3. Will return with a review as soon as I do.

oh, it’s a-mazing, matt. short (i think i’m near the ending), but definitely an awesome experience – funny as hell in spots too… and (har har) the sixaxix actually makes the game fun (coulda used a bit of rumble, tbough)…
Yep, been sold on it from the get go and all the cool animation and making of videos only made me want it more. Loved the demo too, even though it was like two minutes long lol. I have heard it’s short (like 6-8 hours tops), but that’s actually an average length for this type of game.
yeah, it’s not that long, but i don’t see what the fuss is at ALL about the length. Hell, it’s a GREAT 6-8 hours, that’s for damn sure… actually, i timed myself and my time for the first play was 9:32 (but i kinda got stuck on a boss and in one big crazy battle. still, i’m going back again because the game is brilliantly executed from top to bottom.

Definitely a killer app for the PS3, and if this is any kind of a pre-cursor to what we can expect from God of War on PS3, then Jesus H. The animations on this were amazing, and I think that’s what helped to keep me immersed in it.
Thank God Deadguy bought this one for his PS3. I beat it on my playthrough in about 7 hours, and it was well worth it. People bitched about the length on GoW also, and frankly, the length on it was perfect.
HOWEVER…the game isn’t making me rush out for a PS3. It definitely sweetens the deal a bit, but I still need more from the thing.
Well, it’s definitely all about exclusives, and heavenly sword is one of those that lived up to the hype. dunno how the system will do this year overall, but 2008 should be the tipping point for many folks who want to get a PS3. granted, uncharted: drake’s fortune and the new ratchet will be smokin’ this year, but sony needs to go on a rll of “A” exclusives from first and third parties…
Don’t forget Warhawk, that’s a PS3 exclusive that lived up to the hype big time, loving that game. Sony’s first party stuff will be fine, they just need to get the third party support rolling along.
