We already knew Insecticide was in development for the PC, but per Gamecock’s announcement today we now know that Crackpot Entertainment’s upcoming action/adventure detective game is also coming to the Nintendo DS. The unique control mechanics of both platforms combined with fully realized 3D environments promise to deliver a totally interactive game world for players to explore and investigate. The DS version is also set to feature some sort of multiplayer action, though specific details weren’t mentioned, nor were plans for multiplayer in the PC version.
“The heart of classic detective novels and movies is to get the audience involved mentally, but now via PC and the Nintendo DS we can get players involved in a much more tactile arena,” said Rick Stults, Console Chief for Gamecock Media Group. “The mouse and the stylus are the key to the ‘touch and feel’ experience we’re really aiming for with this game and I think that’s something players are really going to enjoy.”
Insecticide is scheduled for release this fall. Additional information can be found at Gamecock’s website and/or the game’s official website.
Man, the Gamecock games all look so sweet. Let’s hope they play just as well.
