Any lingering fears that Insomniac Games would be dumping Sony when it announced a multi-platform franchise deal with EA earlier in the year can now be put to rest. Everyone’s favorite sleepless development team is ready to attack 2011 with two PS3 exclusives from the studio’s two lead franchises: Ratchet & Clank and Resistance.
Details are pretty much nonexistent for Resistance 3, except for what can be discerned from this live-action, gameplay-less teaser trailer — which isn’t much at all.
Fortunately, the next Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, isn’t being guarded with the same heightened level of secrecy. As indicated by the title, All 4 One brings one-to-four-player, drop-in/drop-out co-op to the series for the first time. Offline or online, players will team up as Ratchet, Clank, Qwark and Dr. Nefarious to embark on a new intergalactic adventure rife with the grand humor and cinematic production values expected from an Insomniac game.
Both Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One and Resistance 3 are slated for release within calendar year 2011.
