IO Interactive, acclaimed developers of the Hitman series, Freedom Fighters and the infamous Kane & Lynch, have announced their next project titled Mini Ninjas, and it’s definitely a big change in direction from previous work. Mini Ninjas is a charming action/adventure title following Hiro, “the world’s smallest hero,” and his two ninja sidekicks as they venture to the Fortress of Doom to defeat the Evil Samurai Warlord.

Mini Ninjas is in development for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS and will be co-published in North America by Eidos and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game is scheduled for release this fall. Get a taste of the game’s charming art style in the unveil trailer embedded on the jump.
