It’ll be ready to ship later this month, but The Ant Commandos are definitely looking to give Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II fans quite the intriguing new way to play the games.
The Double Range Guitar Controller comes in Rocking V Wired ($49.99) and Freedom V Wireless ($59.99) models, adding five buttons at the base of the neck that should make for a fun new way to enjoy these games. Additionally, TAC is offering free shipping for a limited time on any products offered on their web site, with a free guitar case available for bundled packages like the Rawk Box, Multiplayer and Expert Bundles.

I’ll just be sticking with RedOctane’s GH guitars myself, especially now that they’re putting out a wireless controller. Maybe if TAC’s were a little cheaper, but at the same price I’d take RedOctane’s official GH guitar over a third-party product.
How exactly are you supposed to use all ten buttons? Is it that you can use the five at the head or the five near the pick ups?
I must have this controller. Will it be sold at a gamestop, or fry’s electronics? I want to shred even more epically and even more like a madman on this sweet controller.
Okay, this is just getting ree-fucking-dick-you-lus! I mean, I get the point of the controller…it helps you to emulate hammers and taps like you were a real killer guitarist. Having been jamming the hell out of the 360 version a LOT lately (like, everyday to the point that I’m neglecting WoW!)…there just isn’t any point in having this controller and NOT PLAYING A REAL GUITAR!!! I mean, I understand that the whole Guitar Hero thing is simpler for a lot of people, as they don’t have to fool with going between 6 strings and 24 frets, but honestly…if you can play something like Jordan or The Light That Blinds on this controller with taps and get 100% note streaks and the highest score possible…then seriously, start a real fucking band!!!
With that said…I just finished getting five stars on everything in the medium tour, and I’m thinking about daring a 300k score on medium with Free Bird to get the 300k score achievement. Yeah, I know…I’m an achievement whore…but it wouldn’t show…the gamerscore on that Xbox is only at, like, 640 or something. I haven’t played Crackdown on it, yet, though…so that’s a whole 1000 easy points there!!!
