Two developments on the Kingdom Hearts front have emerged from Square Enix today. First and foremost, Kingdom Hearts: Re:Chain of Memories, the PS2 remake of Chain of Memories from a few years back on the GBA, has shipped out to North American retailers. Very exciting, I can’t wait to get my copy in and jump back into the Kingdom Hearts universe once more!
The other big news of the day is official confirmation of a planned US release for Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, the all-new DS spin-off chronicling Roxas’ exploits as a member of Organization XIII during the events of Chain of Memories in which Sora is attempting to regain his lost memories. No big shock there, but still good to hear. Unfortunately a timetable for release hasn’t been announced yet, but with Square Enix’s Q1 lineup already set I’m thinking it’ll be out in the spring or summer following the release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time.
