Lara Croft Takes a Worse Beating Than John McClane in the New Tomb Raider

Have you ever seen a Die Hard movie? By the end of every film, Bruce Willis’ character, John McClane, is bleeding, limping, battered, and bruised more than any other Hollywood action hero. But not even McClane has endured the type of beating Lara Croft does in the new E3 2012 trailer for Crystal Dynamics’ upcoming Tomb Raider origin story.

Trust me, you’ve never seen Lara like this before. Through all the cuts, bruises and bloodstains, it’s her toughness and will to survive, not shameless T&A, that now more than ever before make her the hottest female video game heroine around. My favorite part in the trailer is actually when she hunts a deer and apologizes to the beast before making the kill. Emotional touches like that really help build out her character. As an animal lover myself, I’d probably do the same thing if I was ever forced to hunt for food.

Tomb Raider launches March 5, 2013 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. You’re going to want to play this one for sure.
