LittleBigPlanet 2 Delayed to January

Look at poor, old Sackboy. He’s feeling a little blue today. Why is he so sad, you ask? Because Media Molecule and Sony have delayed LittleBigPlanet 2. Boohoo!

Sadly, the PS3’s headline exclusive for holiday 2010 has been pushed back to next year, joining the likes of other hyped exclusives such as Killzone 3, SOCOM 4, ICO and Shadow of Colossus Collection, inFamous 2, Twisted Metal and The Last Guardian in Sony’s stacked 2011 PS3 game lineup. That leaves PS3 owners with Gran Turismo 5, Sly Cooper Collection, and a bunch of Move and multi-platform titles to feast on for the remainder of the year.

The sliver lining in this sad bit of news is that LBP2‘s delay is only for two months, which is hardly worth getting too pissy over. Originally scheduled to ship this November, LBP2 will now ship on January 18th. See, that’s not so bad.
