At long last, Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide Studio have released a playable single-player demo for their kick-ass hack ‘n slash RPG Loki. Available for download from the mirrors listed below, the 991 MB demo lets you try out the powerhouse Norse Warrior character and experience hours of bloody creature slaying up to a level cap of 20. Loki is finally scheduled to ship sometime later this month, and I’m more stoked than ever now that I’ve finally been able to try it out.

I probably won’t get to play the demo anytime soon, but if you get to it before me…let me know if it’s worth it or not. I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time, as you know…
I’ve played it for maybe 20-30 mins and I’d say it’s going to well worth it, I mean it plays how you’d expect it to really. It’s a Diablo-style hack-n-slash with more up to date graphics and new setting- pretty similar to Titan Quest I’d say. The level cap is 200 in the final game, which is going to be so fucking sweet, and the skill trees and equipment system seem like they’ll be super in-depth from just looking through them. There’s quite a bit of blood splattering around with every kill too, which is satisfying. So yeah, so far so good.
