Mario and Donkey Kong Swap Wii U Launch Months

When the two Wii U games were announced back at E3, Super Mario 3D World was slated to ship in December and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze was going to launch in November. The roles have now reversed.

Nintendo has confirmed today that Super Mario 3D World will launch November 22nd at a price of $59.99. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will then follow on December 6th for $49.99.

In the end there’s only two weeks separating the two holiday headliners for Nintendo’s soon-to-be-cheaper Wii U console so the swap matters little. But at least now we know the answer to the age-old question: Which came first, the Italian plumber or the anthropomorphic gorilla?
