Let the party begin, y’all! Just in time to celebrate the Nintendo DS’s third US anniversary in style, Nintendo has shipped Mario Party DS off to retailers across North America. Mario Party‘s first DS shindig comes with five new game boards, 70+ mini-games, eight Mario universe characters to choose from, four-player single-card multiplayer and full use of the handheld’s touch-screen and built-in microphone capabilities. Mario Party DS retails for $34.99 and is rated “E” for Everyone.

“The wireless features of Mario Party DS let families enjoy game time together, whether they’re on the road or lounging in the living room,” says George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. “Nintendo has the hottest products for the holidays and beyond, and we want to make sure all family members know we have something for them.”
