Mega Man 9 DLC Adds Proto Man, Endless Attack

The first two downloadable add-on packs for Mega Man 9 were released on WiiWare today and will be coming out on XBLA tomorrow and PSN Thursday. The two packs include Endless Attack, a mode that challenges you to play an endless stage as long as you can and compare with other players to see who can get the farthest, and Proto Man Mode, a mode adding Proto Man as a playable character through the main story mode. Proto Man doesn’t come with a new story to experience, but he does offer new abilities like Charge Shot and Power Slide and certain disadvantages to add to the challenge like taking twice the damage as Mega Man and being bounced back twice as far when hit.

Cool stuff for sure. Only problem is these add-ons may be a bit pricey to some for the basic content they provide. I don’t have the exact pricing on me, but as far as I know each add-on runs between $2-4. Coming so soon after the game’s release this sorta smacks of Capcom nickel and diming consumers a wee bit. Seems like these modes should’ve all been included as part of the full game, no?
