The PlayStation editions of Capcom’s next big cross-over fighting game, Street Fighter X Tekken, sure are getting some wicked awesome cameo fighters. Infamous‘ Cole MacGrath and Japanese Sony mascots Toro and Kuro have already been confirmed, and now official word is out that Mega Man and Pac-Man are joining the Capcom versus Namco brawl. Not just regular ol’ Mega Man either. It’s the Mega Man from the original NES box art! Pac-Man isn’t fighting alone either — he rides atop Mokujin.
All five characters are exclusive to the PS3 and PS Vita versions of the game. So, sorry PC and Xbox 360 fight fans (for now at least — perhaps secret plans still exist for other platform-exclusive cameos). Watch the wacky quintet strut their stuff in the trailer up top.
Street Fighter X Tekken is due in stores March 6th for PS3 and Xbox 360. Dates for the PS Vita and PC versions are still to be announced.

Why does Mega Man have to look fat?
Also Pac-Man in a clunker robot suit is just as bad as putting Yoda in a floating chair so he can move at the same pace as other Jedi (a bit of a stretch in analogies). Still why put a character in a game and then force some lame looking robot into the game mechanics to make the game feel “even”? Either put the iconic yellow circle in without extras or leave him out.
That’s the whole point — it’s supposed to be a play on the awful box art Mega Man. And Mokujin is a Tekken character, so it’s a perfect vehicle for linking Pac-Man to the universe. I think they’re both great, unexpected choices.

Actually, Megaman is now a dead ringer for Kankichi Ryotsu!
