Metal Gear Online Beta Patched Up and Ready to Roll

Fret no more eager Metal Gear Online testers, after a short delay from its intended start date this past Monday, the MGO premiere beta test has officially gone live in North America, Europe and Japan. Just boot up your PS3 and sit through a quick patch update to the MGO Beta client (version 1.02) and you’ll be all ready to dive into the action. Unless of course you haven’t downloaded the previous 1.01 client update already, it’s a much larger (and longer) download. Trust me, I had to leave it downloading all this morning. It was a painful wait…

I have it all up and running now though, and so far I’ve been able to tinker around with the character creation, go through some of the training tutorials and test out a couple rounds of Team Deathmatch and I like what I see. I’ll be putting in some hardcore time with the beta over the weekend and report back with more substantial impressions next week, probably on Monday.
