Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Sneaks Onto Steam the Week Before Christmas

Konami has put a launch date out for the PC release of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. The standalone prologue to The Phantom Pain will be available on Steam starting on December 18th, adding one more must-buy game to the wish list right when Steam’s holiday sale will be preparing to wreck gamers’ wallets.

Unique to the Steam version, PC gamers with high-end systems can look forward to playing the game at the FOX Engine’s technical peak thanks to 4K compatibility, enhanced shadow resolution, and an increase in the number of light sources and models that can appear simultaneously.

While the release date has been confirmed, at this time the Steam page has still not been updated with pricing info, pre-purchase options or system requirements. Once any of those details are announced, we’ll let you know.
