Metroid Prime Trilogy Unpacked

A Metroid Prime Trilogy review copy made a surprise early visit on my doorstep this afternoon. It’s a beautifully packaged three-games-in-one bundle, so I snapped some pictures to give you a sneak peek at what’s inside before the game ships out to retailers next week on August 24th.

As pictured in the gallery below, MPT comes as a Collector’s Edition bundle with a transparent slip cover over a shiny steelbook-style case with some cool artwork on both the outer shell and lining the inside of the case walls behind the manual and disc holder. Also tucked behind the manual is a special mini-artbook — it’s actually more like a double-sided pamphlet with four pages of story recap on one side and four pages of concept art on the other side.

I’ll report back next week with impressions of the actual games. I’m certainly eager to see how the slick Metroid Prime 3 motion-control interface enhances the first two Metroid Prime installments.
