Michael Phelps and a few of his fake-happy actor pals teach the ins and outs of motion control swimming in this new “How to Play the Game” trailer for Michael Phelps: Push the Limit.
As you’ll see, races start off with participating players hyping up the crowd by ‘raising the roof’ and twirling their hands around, which is supposed to increase power and speed for the race. Then, you crouch with arms stretched outwards and pop up in time with the gun to dive into the pool, proceeding to freestyle stroke as if you were actually swimming in real water. At the turn, a properly timed palm thrust gives you a boost to start your way down the home stretch, and when you near the finish line you reach out your arm to grab for the wall.
Michael Phelps: Push the Limit dives exclusively onto Xbox 360 Kinect this fall. Speedos are optional.
So what do you think, swim fans? This a game that has you jonesing for a Kinect?
