What happens when you multiply Half-Minute Hero by two? You get one Minit, of course.
Well not exactly. Beyond the whole limited time crunch gimmick, the two games are completely unrelated and have very different styles overeall. Minit, from Devolver Digital and an alliance of indie developers including Jan Willem Nijman (from Vlambeer), Kitty Calis (Action Henk, Horizon: Zero Dawn), Jukio Kallio (Luftrausers), and Dominik Johann (Hotline Miami 2), is a black and white GameBoy-esque action/adventure game cut from the same mold as the old top-down Legend of Zelda titles. The game takes place in a world plagued by a curse that causes each day to end after a single minute. Every time you venture outside the home, you have just 60 seconds to fight monsters, help NPCs, and ultimately find a way to break the curse.
Minit is slated for a mid 2017 release on PC. Although not 100% confirmed, the game’s likely to land on consoles as well.
