Mount & Blade: Warband, sequel to Taleworlds’ 2008 medieval action-RPG Mount & Blade, expands today with the release of a free DLC pack containing a healthy portion of new content.

More specifically, the free DLC includes three new maps — Forest Hideout, The Arena and Jameyyed Castle — a new one-on-one Duel Mode, and, ummm…horse armor!? Over 70 Achievements have also been added exclusively to the Steam version, bringing even more replay incentive to the game’s solo play and multiplayer modes.

And speaking of Steam, the Mount & Blade games are currently on sale in the latest “Weekend Deal” offer. The original has been marked down by 75% and Warband by 66%, meaning you can grab both titles together for under $20.

Here’s a trailer introduction for the new DLC pack.
